The Linux Foundation has announced immediate online registration for two courses: Introduction to Open Source License Compliance Management (LFC193) and Fundamentals of Open Source and Cloud Computing (LFS200).
The Introduction to Open Source License Compliance Management (LFC193) course explores the basic concepts and approaches required for an open source compliance program. The two-hour online course provides knowledge from the basics of intellectual property to the key concepts of an open source journal.
It is based on real world experience and focuses on results directly applicable to the deployment of products and services. Participants will gain an understanding of how to use compliance to optimize the business, reduce the use of resources, and increase efficiency.
The free online course is in partnership with the OpenChain project, which maintains the international standard for open source license compliance.

The Fundamentals of Open Source IT and Cloud Computing (LFS200), initially announced in October, serves as preparation for the Linux Foundation Certified IT Associate (LFCA) exam.
LFS200 is designed for those new to the IT industry or planning to start an IT career as a System Administrator or Engineer. The course is ideal for those who wish to advance to the professional level with a gained understanding of concepts critical for modern computer systems, including cloud computing.
Topics covered include fundamental knowledge of computer hardware, software and operating systems, as well as more specific concepts related to system administration, networking, troubleshooting, internet, cloud, security, DevOps, project management, open source software and licensing.
The course also prepares participants for the Linux Foundation Certified IT Associate (LFCA) exam, which demonstrates to potential employers that a candidate has the knowledge required to be successful in an entry-level IT role.
The LFS200 is available for immediate enrollment for $ 99, or paired with the LFCA exam for $ 299.
