Bluehost introduces new trading features to WordPress. Bluehost, a WordPress hosting provider, has introduced new features for launching an online store. The brand new offering simplifies using WordPress for ecommerce by integrating YITH WooCommerce plugins. Merchants can then accept payments, sell on marketplaces, schedule calendar appointments, ship customer orders, print labels, and add advanced features like gift cards, wish lists, customer account pages, and more.

Amazon announces a new service for supply chain challenges. Continuing its multi-year investment in warehousing and distribution, Amazon has introduced a feature that allows sellers to leverage new purpose-built facilities for bulk inventory storage and automated distribution. Amazon Warehousing & Distribution is a pay-as-you-go service built for inventory management, supply chain challenges, and operational efficiencies.

BigCommerce expands the crypto ecosystem with BitPay and CoinPayments. BigCommerce has announced strategic partnerships with cryptocurrency providers BitPay and CoinPayments. BitPay allows sellers to accept a variety of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Shiba Inu, Wrapped Bitcoin, Litecoin, XRP, and five USD-pegged stablecoins. CoinPayments allows merchants to accept real-time global payments from 100+ cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin with a low 0.5% processing fee.

GoBolt introduces sustainable same-day and next-day parcel delivery. GoBolt, an environmentally conscious first-party supply chain network, has launched a small package delivery service in Canada and the US powered by a fleet of electric vehicles in partnership with EcoCart, a sustainability technology company. With its expansion to small package delivery, GoBolt will now collect, consolidate, sort and deliver smaller packages from e-commerce brands. Additionally, GoBolt will offer same-day and next-day shipping in metro service areas, optional contactless delivery and delivery tracking via SMS and a truck tracking app.

Amazon launches free email marketing features for sellers. Amazon has introduced new features to its customer engagement tool to help sellers increase email marketing reach for free. Sellers can now expand beyond brand followers when sending marketing emails to their most loyal buyers. Amazon Tailored Audiences allows sellers to monitor the impact of their email marketing campaigns with performance and reporting metrics such as open rate, click-through rates, emails delivered, opt-out rates, sales, and conversion. Tailored Audiences is currently in beta. Amazon plans to make it available to all US sellers in early 2023.

Threedium and SharpEnd are collaborating to prepare the consumer brand metaverse. UK-based Threedium and SharpEnd have partnered to enable brands to deliver “metaverse-enabled” connected experiences. These experiences include the ability to unlock digital twins of physical products with a simple tap or scan of built-in QR codes or NFC tags, as well as the ability to tokenize products and enable storytelling in 3D or augmented reality.

Bambuser launches global live shopping. Bambuser, a live streaming provider, has launched Bambuser Plus, a unit dedicated to supporting retailers in all aspects of live shopping. Bambuser Plus includes integrated retail strategy, creativity and production, influencer marketing, education and training services.

Amazon is rolling out marketing features to help sellers make purchases with Prime. Amazon has announced new marketing features to help direct sellers reach engaged shoppers and drive sales on their own websites. Amazon is testing the features as part of Buy with Prime, a new program that allows sellers to offer off-Amazon Prime shopping benefits to shoppers. Participating sellers can showcase their DTC products with a new Buy with Prime page in their own store or a customizable storefront on Amazon. Sellers can then direct buyers to those DTC products using customizable ads called Sponsored Brands. Sellers receive a Buy with Prime badge to use in their marketing.

Wix introduces tools for managing creator portfolios. The new Wix Portfolio is a product for designers, artists, photographers, and other creators to showcase their work. With various customizable layouts tailored to different industries and professions, developers can customize their brand’s look and feel in a straightforward and structured way, allowing them to quickly get their work online. The feature also accounts for project collections, allowing for easy navigation for larger portfolios.

bright data introduces the “Insights” tool with the acquisition of Market Beyond. Bright Data has acquired e-commerce insights provider Market Beyond and added digital shelf analytics to its data offering through a new division, Bright Insights. This tool offers retail brands, marketplaces and manufacturers the ability to get high-quality, reliable web data and important business insights in one place. Brands can then strategize based on these data insights to improve performance.

The e-commerce platform Logicbroker publishes B2B offers. Logicbroker, a curated marketplace and drop-ship e-commerce platform, has announced the release of its B2B suite of products. Logicbroker’s B2B offerings focus on supply chain visibility, market and dropship capabilities. The company’s B2B marketplace and dropship product focuses on automating front-end order tracking. Logicbroker’s cloud-based platform provides insight into inventory availability, price stratification, deliveries, vendor performance and more.
